What has limits
What has limits, and why.
- The viewer reads sixty-four mebibytes in one piece; beyond that it shows a window of the file, and two bounds lead to the start and the end.
- A protected folder goes entirely through memory: beyond sixty-four megabytes, Meneaufile refuses rather than crash. The action is meant for documents, not a disk image.
- A service cannot be seen across the network: the state of a remote server is what its host answers to a ping, not that of a service.
- A TeamViewer ID cannot be pinged: to monitor a machine reached this way, you have to give its IP address.
- A table cannot be copied like a file: it has no bytes. What you get from it on a disk is an SQL export — see BDD.
- An export from one database to another database leads nowhere: the export targets a disk. To populate a database, you replay a
.sqlin it, or you clone.
