MTP — Connected devices

MTP Phones and tablets plugged in over USB, through the MTP protocol.

Plugging in

The device must be unlocked and set to “File transfer”: as long as it is not, the list stays empty and says so in plain words.

No device plugged in: the message says what to do, and not merely that it is empty.

Moving around in it

The internal memory and the SD card are folders, and files are copied to a panel with F6 as everywhere else.

The button

It appears only where the source is mounted: without an MTP driver, there is nothing to open.
